課題

His hands were hardened from his work. He fixed peoples kitchens for a living.
But surprisingly, his handshake was soft and inviting. His muscular arms and hazel-green eyes
caught her attention the minute she opened the door.
"Sorry I'm late. Sounds like this could take a while." His warm smile revealed hidden dimples.
"Thanks for coming on such short notice." She smiled at him. After inviting him inside, they
moved to the kitchen. He stepped around the puddle of water on the kitchen floor, and got to work.

　彼は仕事柄、節くれ立った手をしていた。台所修理を仕事にしているのだ。けれど驚いたことに、握手してみるとその手は柔らかく、魅力的だった。彼女はドアを開けた途端に、がっしりした腕と緑がかった薄茶色の瞳に惹かれた。
「遅れてすみません。ちょっと手間取りそうですね」優しげな微笑と一緒にえくぼができた。「いらしていただけてよかったです。急なお願いでしたから」彼女は彼に向かって微笑んだ。中に招き入れ、キッチンまで一緒に行った。彼は台所の床にできた水たまりをよけて進み、仕事にとりかかった。
