An Illinois man left snowy Chicago for a vacation in warm Florida. His wife happened to be on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel room, he decided to send his wife a quick email.
Unfortunately, he mistyped her address, and his note was mistakenly sent to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had died the day before. When the grieving widow checked her email, she let out a piercing scream and fainted to the floor. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen: Dearest, Just checked in. Everything is ready for your arrival tomorrow. P.S. Sure is hot down here.

イリノイ州出身の男が、雪降るシカゴから暖かいフロリダへ休暇に出かけた。男の妻は出張中で、翌日男とフロリダで落ち合う予定だった。
ホテルの部屋に到着し、男は妻にちょっとしたメールを送ることにした。
が、しかし男は妻のアドレスを打ち間違ってしまい、そのメールは前日に牧師である夫を亡くしたばかりの年老いた未亡人に誤って送信されてしまった。
悲しみに暮れる未亡人はメールを読むや否や耳をつんざくような悲鳴を上げて床に倒れ込んで気絶した。
その音を聞きつけた家族は急いで部屋に駆け込み、スクリーンのメールを見つけた。
「今到着したところだ。明日君が到着する準備も万端だよ。追伸：いや本当にここは灼熱だよ。」
