An Illinois man left snowy Chicago for a vacation in warm Florida. His wife happened to be on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel room, he decided to send his wife a quick email.
Unfortunately, he mistyped her address, and his note was mistakenly sent to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had died the day before. When the grieving widow checked her email, she let out a piercing scream and fainted to the floor. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen: Dearest, Just checked in. Everything is ready for your arrival tomorrow. P.S. Sure is hot down here.

雪が降るイリノイ州シカゴに住んでいる男が、温暖なフロリダで休暇をとることにした。
男の妻はたまたま出張があったので、翌日フロリダで男と合流することにした。
ホテルに着いた男は、妻に短いメールを送ろうと思ったが、あいにくとメールアドレスを
打ち間違えてしまった。そして、そのメールは、前日に未亡人になったばかりの、
年老いた牧師夫人のところへ届いた。
夫を亡くして悲しみに暮れていた未亡人は、メールを開くと、つんざくような悲鳴をあげて
倒れこみ、失神してしまった。
悲鳴を聞いて部屋に駆け込んできた家族が、コンピューターのスクリーンのメモを見ると、
そこには……
愛する妻よ
たった今、着いたよ。明日、君が到着する準備は万端さ。
