An Illinois man left snowy Chicago for a vacation in warm Florida. His wife happened to be on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel room, he decided to send his wife a quick email.
Unfortunately, he mistyped her address, and his note was mistakenly sent to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had died the day before. When the grieving widow checked her email, she let out a piercing scream and fainted to the floor. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen: Dearest, Just checked in. Everything is ready for your arrival tomorrow. P.S. Sure is hot down here.

イリノイに住む男が雪のシカゴから、暖かいフロリダへとバケーションに飛び立った。たまたま出張中だった妻とは、翌日、現地で落ち合う計画だ。ホテルに到着した男は、妻に短いＥメールメッセージを送る事にした。不運にも彼は妻のメールアドレスを打ち間違え、そのメッセージは、前日に牧師である夫を無くしたばかりの老女の元に誤って送られてしまった。悲しみにくれていた未亡人はメールを読むと、悲鳴をあげて床に倒れ気絶してしまった。その声を聞き、部屋に駆け付けた家族が見たのは、画面にあるこんなメッセージだった「愛する妻へ、たった今受付を済ませた。明日、君を迎える準備は万全に整っているよ。追伸、こっちの焼ける熱さは、かなりのものだよ。
