Dear Diary,

I met the most incredible guy at our company picnic yesterday. My friend Sarah introduced us while we were waiting in the chili line. Once we started talking, it was like a fire was started that we couldn’t put out. Almost as hot as the chili! His name is Josh, and he is one of the best-looking nerds I have ever seen. Besides being a computer geek, he loves dogs, bikes and travel. He is going to France next month, and he told me about all the amazing places he will visit. I can’t stop thinking about him, and how much I enjoyed our conversation. Should I text him before he goes to France?

昨日の会社のピクニックでとっても素敵な人に会ったの。チリを食べたくて列に並んでいるときに友人のサラが紹介してくれたんだけど、いったん話し始めたら、私たちまるで逃れられない恋の炎に包まれたみたいになっちゃった。チリなんてめじゃなくらい！　彼の名前はジョシュっていって、今までわたしが会ったオタクの中では最高にかっこいい人。コンピュータマニアなんだけど、犬とサイクリングと旅行が大好きなの。来月フランスへ行くんですって。彼が行く予定の素敵な場所のこと、ぜんぶ教えてくれた。もう彼のことばっかり考えちゃうし、彼と話しててとっても楽しかったこと、思い出さずにはいられない。フランスに行っちゃう前にメール送った方がいいのかなぁ。
