It's time to get ready for early summer gardening! Even if you live in a small city apartment, you can still grow a great urban farm on your balcony. Tomato,kale and cucumbers are great choices to start as they are delicious and easy for beginners to grow. Herbs such as mint, thyme and rosemary are good to prevent insects from attacking your garden. Each vegetable will need direct sunlight, so make sure you don't crowd too many into one planter box. With a creative layout, you can make the most of your limited space and enjoy garden to table food this summer.

初夏に向けてガーデニングの準備をする季節になりました！たとえ都会の小さなアパートに住んでいても、素敵な菜園をベランダで作ることができます。おいしくて初心者が育てやすいトマト、ケール、キュウリから始めてみるとよいでしょう。ミントやタイム、ローズマリーといったハーブは害虫からあなたの菜園を守ってくれます。どの野菜も直射日光が必要となるため、一つのプランターに植えすぎないようにしましょう。レイアウトを工夫しながら限られたスペースを最大限に活かして、この夏はベランダ菜園で採れた野菜を食卓で楽しんで下さい。
