第2回 アニメ翻訳コンテスト

課題

これは1875年のコロラドにタイムスリップした若者のお話です。状況がわからずに混乱する若者は、近くにあったSaloonに入りますが……。アニメ翻訳らしく、テンポの良さとユーモアに意識して訳してください。

Saloon Scene
Drunk Man : I haven't seen ya here before. Where you come from?
Steve : Nice to meet you. Sorry for the surprise, I came from the East Coast.
Drunk Man : Didn't hear any horses come up recently. How'd you get here?
Steve : Well, ah, ah, I came by ship?
Drunk Man : This is in the middle of the continent. Ain't no ships getting here. Ya think I'm stupid?
Steve : Relax. How about we show you a map? Look at this, the newest i-phone, still has charge left and I can show you…
Drunk Man : I ain't ever seen one of those. All those sparkling lights. That's a dangerous thing.
Steve : Don't worry. This has all our information. But oh no, no wi-fi here….
Drunk Man : Do you see this? This is the newest Colt. You best get back to where you came from before I think about using it.

酒場にて
酔っ払い：お前さん、見たことねえ顔だな。どっから来たんだ？
スティーブ：やあ、はじめまして。驚かせてすみません、東海岸から来たんです。
酔っ払い：馬が来たなんて話は最近聞いてねえけどな。どうやって来た？
スティーブ：えーっと、あー、うん、船かな？
酔っ払い：ここは大陸のど真ん中だぞ。船なんてここには来やしねえ。バカにしてんのか？
スティーブ：落ち着いて。ほら、地図をお見せしますよ。これを見て、最新のiPhoneなんです。まだチャージも残ってるし、これも見て…
酔っ払い：こんなもん、一度も見たことねえ。まったく光がチカチカしやがる。こりゃヤバいもんだな。
スティーブ：心配しないで、これでどんな情報でも見られるんです。ああ、でも困ったな、ここにはwifiがないし…
酔っ払い：こいつはどうだい？　最新のコルトだ。俺がこいつを使おうと思う前に、おウチに帰った方が身のためだぜ。
