第15回 ジョーク翻訳コンテスト

課題

At the end of the semester, a college professor was giving a test to his students. Once he handed out all the tests, he went back to his desk to wait. When the test was finished, the students returned their test papers to the professor. Strangely, the professor noticed that one of the students had attached a $100 bill to his test. There was also a note saying, "A dollar per point." In the next class, the professor returned the graded tests.
The student got his test back with $64 change.

学期末、ある大学教授が学生たちに試験を課しました。試験用紙を全て配り終えると、教授は自分の席へと戻り、試験の終了を待ちました。試験が終了すると、学生たちは教授へ答案用紙を提出していきました。そのとき、教授は奇妙なことに気づきました。ある１人の学生が、答案用紙に１００ドル札をつけて提出していたのです。そこにはこう書かれたメモも添えてありました。

「１点につき１ドル」

次の授業で、教授は採点した試験を返却しました。
例の学生の答案用紙には、６４ドルのお釣りがしっかり添えられていました。
