An Illinois man left snowy Chicago for a vacation in warm Florida. His wife happened to be on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel room, he decided to send his wife a quick email.
Unfortunately, he mistyped her address, and his note was mistakenly sent to an elderly preacher’s wife whose husband had died the day before. When the grieving widow checked her email, she let out a piercing scream and fainted to the floor. At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen: Dearest, Just checked in. Everything is ready for your arrival tomorrow. P.S. Sure is hot down here.

イリノイ州のある男性が、雪のシカゴから暖かいフロリダへ休暇を過ごしに向かいました。出張中の妻とは翌日落ち合う予定です。ホテルに着くと、妻へクイックメールを送ることにしました。ところがアドレスを打ち間違えてしまい、不運にもそのメッセージは前日に牧師の夫を亡くしたばかりの老夫人のもとへ届きました。悲しみに暮れる夫人はそのメールを読むと、つんざくような悲鳴をあげて気絶し倒れてしまいました。驚いた家族が夫人の部屋へ駆けつけると、画面にうつるメッセージを見つけました。
親愛なる人へ。今着いたところです。明日君を迎える準備は整っていますよ。
