富士山は、昔から日本にとって文化的に重要な場所です。
ほぼ完璧に均整のとれた円すい形をしたこの荘厳な山は、巡礼の目的地であり、この国の神聖さの象徴と考えられています。
この美しい山とそれを取り巻く風景は、多くの偉大な芸術家と詩人の創作意欲をかき立ててきました。
多くの日本人が、日本の最高峰であるこの山に登り、山頂からご来光を拝みます。
先日世界遺産に指定された富士山は、日本の象徴的な存在です。
