富士山は古くより、日本文化において重要な位置を占めてきました。
ほぼ完璧なシンメトリーをなす円錐状のこの雄大な山は、宗教上の巡礼の地であり、日本人の信仰対象とされています。
美しい山容と周囲の景観は多くの偉大な芸術家や詩人たちにインスピレーションを与え続けてきました。
日本最高峰ということもあり、その頂上からの日の出を見ようと、たくさんの日本人が山に登ります。
最近は世界遺産にも登録されており、富士山は日本を象徴する存在と言えます。
