課題

Since ancient times, Mount Fuji has been a place of cultural significance for Japan.
The majestic mountain with an almost perfectly symmetrical cone, is an object of religious pilgrimage and seen as the sacred symbol of the nation.
The beautiful mountain and surrounding landscape has been an inspiration for many great artists and poets.
As the highest mountain in Japan, many Japanese climb to see the sun rise from the top.
Mount Fuji has recently been designated as a World Heritage Site and is an icon of Japan.

訳文

いにしえから、富士山は日本の文化にとって重要な意味をもつ場所でした。
ほぼ完全に左右対称で、円錐形をなす荘厳な山は、参拝の対象であり、民族の神聖なシンボルとされてきました。
この美しい山と周辺の景観は、偉大な画家や詩人たちの創作意欲をかき立て続けてきました。
日本で一番高い山なので、その頂上から日の出を見るために登山する人が、日本にはたくさんいます。
つい最近、富士山は世界遺産に登録されました。富士山はまさに日本の象徴なのです。
