古代より、富士山は日本にとって文化的に重要な場所でした。
堂々とそびえたつその姿は、ほぼ完全な左右対称の円錐形で、信仰と巡拝の対象であり、国の神聖な象徴とみなされています。
その美しい山とそれを取り巻く景観は、多くの偉大な芸術家や詩人のインスピレーションの源とされてきました。
