Mount Fuji has recently been designated as a World Heritage Site and is an icon of Japan.

古来から、富士山は日本にとって文化的に重要な場所です。
ほぼ完璧な左右対称の円錐形を成し、荘厳と佇むその姿は、富士信仰の対象であるとともに国のシンボルとしても神聖視されています。
美しい富士山とその周囲に広がる風景は、多くの偉大な芸術家や詩人たちの制作意欲を掻き立ててきました。
日本最高峰であるが故に、多くの国民が御来光を拝もうと頂上を目指します。
富士山は最近になって世界遺産にも指定され、まさに日本を象徴する山です。
