Robot:　Yes, if you think a robot has a birthday. I’ve been programmed to serve your every need. My initial start date is of little importance to me.
Girl:　But you are a member of our family. Even if you are a robot. We think of you as one of us. We want to celebrate your life like we would any of our other family members.
Robot:　That is such a kind human sentiment to share with me. You know I am programmed to work without emotion. If you choose to give me a birthday party, that is up to you.

女の子：明日はあなたの誕生日ね。
ロボット：はい、でもロボットに誕生日はありません。ご主人サマのお役に立てるようプログラムされています。私が初めて動いた日は重要ではありません。
女の子：でも、あなたは家族の一員よ。ロボットだって関係ない。人間と同じだわ。家族みんなをお祝いするように、あなたのこともお祝いしたいの。
ロボット：そんな人間的感情を私にも向けてくださるとは、なんと親切なことでしょう。しかしご存じの通り、私は感情を持ちません。パーティーをするとしても、ご主人サマのお好きなように。
