A taxi driver was going quickly down a busy street in the city. He passed four stop signs without stopping. He went the wrong way down a one-way street. He passed a police officer while searching on his cell phone for the address of the store he was headed to. And he texted from his cell phone to multiple people before finally arriving at his destination. During his whole trip, however, he didn’t break any laws. How?

あるタクシードライバーが、市街地の混雑した通りを急いでいた。彼は４つの一時停止の標識を無視して通り過ぎた。そして一方通行の通りを逆方向へと進んだ。目的地である店の住所をスマートフォンで検索しているとき、1人の警察官とすれ違った。さらに目的地へ到着するまでの間に、スマートフォンで何人かにメッセージを送信した。ところが、この移動の間、彼は法律に違反することは何もしていないという。いったいどういうことだろうか。
